The reality

The prep tax is stealing your time.

Teachers are some of the most educated professionals in the world — yet they spend a disproportionate chunk of their time on administrative content generation, not teaching.

0+

Hours lost every school year to administrative busywork

That's time you could be spending with your students, your family, or yourself.

The toolkit

Lesson Plan: Introduction to Fractions5th Grade · Math · 50 min

Learning Objectives

  • • Define numerator and denominator and explain their relationship
  • • Represent fractions using area models and number lines
  • • Compare two fractions with the same denominator using <, >, or =

Warm-Up (8 min)

Display a pizza cut into 8 slices with 3 eaten. Ask: “What fraction of the pizza is left? How do you know?” Have students write answers on mini whiteboards and share with a partner before discussing as a class.

Direct Instruction (15 min)

Introduce the terms numerator and denominator using a fraction bar visual. Model representing 2/4 and 3/4 with both an area model (rectangle divided into equal parts) and a number line from 0 to 1. Emphasize that the denominator tells us the total equal parts.

Guided Practice (12 min)

Partner activity: each pair receives fraction cards (1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 3/4) and blank number lines. Students plot their fractions together and compare. Circulate and prompt: “Which fraction is closer to 1? How can you tell?”

From the classroom

Teachers who got their Sundays back.

I used to spend my entire Sunday on lesson planning. Now I do it in 20 minutes on Friday afternoon. This genuinely changed my work-life balance.

The quiz generator alone is worth it. My students get better assessments and I get my evenings back. I've recommended it to my entire department.

I was skeptical about AI tools, but the output is actually good — not generic. It knows the difference between a 2nd grade lesson and a 10th grade one.
