Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Lecturly (“Service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Lecturly is an AI-powered teaching assistant that helps educators generate lesson plans, slide deck outlines, quizzes, rubrics, and parent communication drafts. Content is generated using Google Gemini and is intended as a starting point for professional use.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. Lecturly is intended for use by professional educators and adults. It is not directed at children under 13.

You may sign up with an email address and password or via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@lecturly.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

Free accounts receive 3 generations per week. A “generation” is one AI content request, with refinements counting as 0.5 each. The weekly limit resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Additional generations may be earned through the referral programme. We reserve the right to adjust tier limits with reasonable notice.

All content produced by Lecturly is generated by an AI model and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any content before using it in a professional or educational setting. Lecturly does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated content and is not liable for decisions made based on it.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or exploit the Service in bad faith.
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or violates the rights of others.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying model or system prompts.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.

You retain ownership of any inputs (text, context, notes) you submit to the Service. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the AI-generated outputs for your personal and professional educational purposes. Lecturly retains all rights in the Service, its branding, software, and underlying technology.

Lecturly offers a referral programme that rewards users with bonus generation credits when they refer new users who successfully sign up. Referral codes are personal and may not be transferred or sold. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time.

If you voluntarily submit a testimonial, you grant Lecturly a perpetual, royalty-free licence to display your testimonial (including your name, role, and school) on our website and marketing materials, provided you have given explicit consent when submitting. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@lecturly.app.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LECTURLY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $10 USD OR THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO LECTURLY IN THE PRECEDING THREE MONTHS.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
